What is an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships are government-funded work-based training programmes designed to give your team the sustainable skills they need to succeed in your business.

Whatever the size of your organisation, skilled and motivated employees are the key to business success, and apprenticeships provide a cost-effective solution to upskilling your current employees. Provided that your chosen candidate meets the programme selection criteria, they could be enrolled within weeks and in time for our next intake in September.

MTC Training can support your business through the Apprenticeship Levy.

  • 0.5% of your pay bill will go towards the apprentice levy if your annual pay bill is £3 million+
  • Over the duration of the apprenticeship, our Product Design & Development Standard is funded at £26,000 of levy funding
  • £1,000 government incentive is available for employing a 16 to 18-year-old

Designed for Impact

Our Level 3 Engineering Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship is delivered through a continuous block release model, accelerating learner development and their contribution to your team. Programmes are co-designed with employers, ensuring each apprentice’s journey is tailored to maximise both off-the-job and on-the-job training impact.

Training begins with a six-week foundation block, embedding safe working practices and core engineering skills. Apprentices then follow a rhythm of two-week training blocks, interspersed with structured on-the-job learning at your site.

We go beyond technical excellence by offering a comprehensive enrichment programme, equipping apprentices with essential soft skills for long-term success. Throughout, both learners and managers benefit from dedicated coaching and support, delivered both onsite and remotely by our expert team.
