Accommodation
Where required, the accommodation bookings for programme participants when attending the onsite sessions at MTC Training will be managed and paid for by the L&D Apprenticeship team. Travel costs to and from the MTC Training can be claimed back through Amazon’s Concur expense reimbursement system. In order to qualify for the accommodation apprentices must live outside of 30 miles or 40 minutes travelling distance of the training centre (calculated from the home address that they have registered with Amazon). NOTE: It is likely that MTC Training and Amazon will prepay for rooms at the appropriate hotel.
Travel
If participants cannot drive, then the journey time used will be the time it would take using public transport that would be required to arrive at the training centre before the scheduled start time each day. You would also receive a per diem of £25 per day for each day of training to cover for your meals. Participants should contact their site GM’s assistant or HR (PXT) team to arrange for the booking of public transport for travel to and from MTC / Oxfordshire Advanced Skills if required, and to get the reimbursement of the per diem i.e. from the apprentices cost centre. Please review Amazon’s T&E policy and familiarise yourself on how to claim travel costs below. Please note that travel costs is not covered by and should not be claimed for from Career Choice.
