What entry qualifications will I need?

We are keen to recruit people who already have or are predicted to gain at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English Language, Maths, and Science at Grade C/4 or above.

Yes! Being able to earn while you learn is one of the great benefits of an apprenticeship. Employers will typically pay between £10,000 to £18,000 per year. This will increase annually as you gain more skills and become more useful to your employer.

Our apprenticeships start between September and October each year, with recruitment beginning in October the year before – so the earlier you apply, the better! You’ll attend block release off-the-job training in 2-4 week blocks at the training centre, spending the rest of your time with your employer.

Our Level 3 Advanced Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship programmes take 42 months to complete plus 4 months for the End Point Assessment (EPA).

Who is MTC Training looking for?

This is no ordinary place to train, so we mean it when we say our Level 3 programme is no ordinary apprenticeship.

By completing our Engineering Maintenance Technician (EMT) programme, you’ll be gaining an industry-wide recognised qualification alongside unrivalled experience and insight into the engineering sector from one of the UK’s leading manufacturing organisations.

We’re looking for passionate, enthusiastic people who are prepared to be challenged, tested, and dedicated to their studies. Academic backgrounds are important. We require our apprentices to have achieved GCSE grades (or equivalent) of 4 or above in Maths, English, and STEM subjects – but we also place a lot of value on our candidates’ attitudes and drive to excel in their engineering careers.
