This 3-day face-to-face course is designed for individuals who are new to Computer Aided Design (CAD) and want to build foundational skills in creating engineering models and technical drawings using Autodesk Fusion. Whether you're starting your career or looking to enhance your digital design capabilities, this course will equip you with practical, transferable skills.

This hands-on course supports your development in CAD through practical exercises and expert guidance. Topics include:

Creating 2D sketches
Parametric modelling with constraints
3D forming tools: Extrude, Cut, Revolve, Sweep, Loft
Creating drawing planes and standard drawing borders
Converting models into technical drawings
Applying dimensions and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
Adding section views and annotations
Producing and managing assemblies

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

Define key interface elements and tools in Autodesk Fusion used for sketching and modelling.
Create a fully constrained 2D sketch using geometric and dimensional constraints.
Create and edit accurate 3D models from parametric sketches.
Differentiate between various modelling techniques (e.g., extrude, revolve, loft) and determine their appropriate use cases.
Create technical drawings from completed models.
Assess the accuracy and completeness of a technical drawing generated from a 3D model, ensuring it meets industry standards.
Assemble multiple components into a functional assembly using appropriate joints.
