Delivered through a highly practical format, this course gives you the opportunity to learn, practise, and apply training techniques in a supportive environment. You’ll gain experience in structuring sessions, using questioning techniques, and delivering content interactively to maximise engagement and learning.

Day one – Engaging learners

Focus on building confidence and understanding how to effectively engage an audience:

Delivery style: body language, voice projection, confidence, enthusiasm
Managing participation and avoiding distracting habits
Questioning techniques: open, closed and guided questions
Understanding learner behaviour before, during and after training
Learning preferences (see, hear, do) and individual needs

Day two – Structuring a session

Learn how to design and plan effective training sessions:

Creating structured training plans and templates
Writing clear session objectives (behaviour, condition, standard)
Structuring sessions: beginning, middle and end
Preparing and introducing a session
Applying questioning techniques within session design
Planning your own session ready for delivery

Day three – Delivery

Put everything into practice with real delivery experience:

Deliver your own training session (max. 8 delegates)
Receive structured observation and feedback
Refine your delivery based on expert guidance
