MTC Training is proud to celebrate an important milestone, reaching our 100th apprenticeship achiever of 2026.
As we prepare to welcome a new cohort of learners into our training centres, it is also a significant time of year for many final-year apprentices who are completing their programmes and taking the next step in their careers. This milestone reflects the hard work, commitment and determination shown by apprentices across a wide range of industries and employers.
Our 100th achiever of the year, Karen Lamarque, has successfully completed her apprenticeship with Amazon and progressed into her new role as an RME Technician.
In her new position, Karen carries out proactive, preventative and condition-based maintenance on conveyor systems, sorters and other automated equipment. Her role helps keep vital operations running efficiently while supporting the technology that powers modern logistics and distribution.
For Karen, choosing an apprenticeship provided the opportunity to combine learning with practical workplace experience from day one.
"I chose an apprenticeship as a way to start my career early with a clear route to progressing both professionally and personally," said Karen Lamarque. "It's pushed me further out of my comfort zone than anything else I've done. Engineering wasn't something I was naturally good at, but I've learned perseverance in both my personal and professional life. If you keep trying, eventually it all starts to click and what once felt difficult becomes easier."
Karen's journey demonstrates that apprenticeships are about more than developing technical knowledge. They provide opportunities to build confidence, resilience and the practical skills needed to succeed in the workplace.
